Capsule Geology

The Yom Kipper showing area is underlain by volcanic breccia and andesite tuff, overlain by siltstone and argillite, of the Lower Jurassic Unuk River Formation (Hazelton Group). The Lower Jurassic Summit Lake Stock, comprised of hornblende quartz monzonite and/or hornblende granodiorite, lies northwest of Summit Lake.

In 2015, Eilat Exploration discovered the Yom Kippur occurrence on the east side of Summit Lake. The Yom Kippur showings consist primarily of andesitic tuff-flow mineralized with quartz, sericite, pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. Widespread areas of quartz-carbonate vein type mineralization related to complex fault zones occur in this region.

A total of 3 of 25 soil samples taken from the Yom Kippur area resulted in assay values greater than 0.2 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 35805). A total of 4 rock samples of 12 collected from the Yom Kippur zone assayed greater than 1 gram per tonne gold; the most significant assayed 0.235 per cent copper, 41 grams per tonne silver, 19.0 grams per tonne gold and greater than 1 per cent arsenic (Assessment Report 35805).

During 2018 through 2020, Scottie Resources Corp. completed programs of rock and auger (tailings) sampling, airborne and ground geophysical surveys and diamond drilling on the Scottie Gold property.

See Summit 5 (104B 436) and Scottie Gold (104B 034) for details of the areas work history and geological details.
